Investment Casting products are present both in airframe and power plant. For airframe applications in light alloys like aluminum or titanium. Engine components are normally based on Nickel super alloys with high high- temperature strength. Classification is made into :

1.1 Airfoils
Gas path function within a gas turbine engine. i.e. turbine blades and vanes casted either equiaxed, direct solidification (DS) or single crystal (SX)
1.2 Structural Parts
Structural function within airframe or engine. i.e. Engine bearing hubs , turbine exit frames …
