INSPECTION CAPABILITIES FOR TOMORROW’S FOUNDRY – A BEST PRACTICE WORKSHOP FOR FOUNDRY PRACTITIONERS

EUROPEAN INVESTMENT CASTERS´FEDERATION IN ASSOCIATION WITH SPL – CICA
On behalf of the EICF, I’m delighted to invite you to join us at this year’s EICF Technical Workshop.
Every investment casting foundry likes to get it right, but even the best of foundries struggle to achieve 100% right first time. In the daily battle against process variation, there’s an ever present risk that parts may simply fail to meet specification or drawing requirements … if only all castings conformed and were identical!
Whatever the outcome, it’s crucial that the customer receives castings that are ‘fit for purpose’ and, for that reason, inspection forms an onerous yet essential part of our everyday manufacturing process.
For over 12 years, the EICF has been actively involved in organising biennial investment casting Technical Workshops. This year I’m thrilled to announce that the EICF’s 2017 Technical Workshop will explore all things inspection-related, from state-of-the-art inspection technologies to inspection case studies and advanced data analytics.
The ‘Inspection Technologies for Tomorrow’s Foundry’ workshop, kindly sponsored by Ross & Catherall, will bring together around a hundred foundry professionals, casting experts and specialists from the world of inspection. It offers a unique opportunity for the industry’s leading experts to share their perspectives and for workshop attendees to learn about the very latest developments in inspection technology and to network with like-minded foundry practitioners wrestling with today’s inspection challenges. There will also be a small exhibition of inspection equipment and opportunities to tour two of the Czech Republic’s leading foundries.
This year’s event will be held 10 – 12 May at the Orea Hotel Voroněž in Brno, Czech Republic. You’ll find all the details you need to register for the Technical Workshop here.
I look forward to meeting you in Brno!
